Also, is there a way to produce a randomizing code for the Lead story and the 3 features on the left? If the lead story can be randomly fetched by the articles in that category, as well as the others, it will give the site more of a difference each time it is used.

These are unbelievable modifications that can help a lot of people for this theme.

I want to ask an important question: Can the category_name function can be done also with the category array sequence? The array is probably many more times annoying than the lead story module in terms of tweaking. I am thinking of adding the _name in place of it but not sure how the syntax or coding will work.

What do you think I should do? Or is there anything that can be done? Great work btw.

Steve, I'm not sure if this is exactly what your looking for (and I'll confess I've never actually used this plugin). But, I think what it's supposed to do is pull the first image you use in a post and put it on the frontpage. It'll probably require some tweaking to be integrated into the Mimbo theme, but it sounds like it might be what you need.

I have been working with the Mimbo theme for a day or so, and the most obvious problem is with the lead story/featured/category headers and the image capabilities. Having to ftp images to your site for use with articles is pretty bad, and I have been able to bypass this with some PHP code however, its still not fullproof and I am trying to come up with a better way to integrate WP 2.5's media library to allow a user who has an image at the top of the "lead story" post, to appear as the image on the home page.

If anyone has an idea, I would love to hear it. So far I am running into complications in trying to dynamically pull and image out of a post and use it on the home page as the placement image for the lead article for example.
