If you’ve ever done article syndication, where you submit your articles to somethign like 200 or 300 websites, you may have found that Google discounts most of the links you built. The search engines look at the content and regard it as duplicate…which it is. I mean, syndicating articles is the very definition of duplicate content – the same article replicated over hundreds and hundreds of sites. What else would you call it? Is it a problem? Naw, as long as Google regards your article as the original. But it’s a lot of wasted effort on your part because most of the links are worthless.
There’s gotta be a better way!! Ok, so the secret is a tactic called article spinning. What you do is you basically write the same article two or three times, and have a bit of software change up each sentence or word. For example, if I write the test “My favorite spider is the camel spider. But I’m scared that they will bite me.” and I syndicate that over hundreds of sites, chances are, Google will quickly disregard all but one or two of the links I gain from the text. However, if I write the text so that it looks unique to Google I might be able to get credit for 8 or 20 of those links.
I would do that by writing the following syntax: {My favorite spider is the camel spider|I love the camel spider|There is no spider better than the camel spider}. {But I’m scared that they will bite me|Getting bitten wouldn’t be pleasant though|But their bite can lead to necrosis, which scares me}.
I then use a program like the Link Juicer to syndicate these articles. If I were to syndicate the above text, it would come out as one of the following text (you can test your spinning using the Spyntax tester).
- My favorite spider is the camel spider. But I’m scared that they will bite me.
- My favorite spider is the camel spider. Getting bitten wouldn’t be pleasant though.
- My favorite spider is the camel spider. But their bite can lead to necrosis, which scares me
- I love the camel spider. But I’m scared that they will bite me.
- I love the camel spider. Getting bitten wouldn’t be pleasant though.
- I love the camel spider. But their bite can lead to necrosis, which scares me
- There is no spider better than the camel spider. But I’m scared that they will bite me.
- There is no spider better than the camel spider. Getting bitten wouldn’t be pleasant though.
